My Story

Nupur’s intricately and meticulosuly hand crafted pieces reflect a deep reverance for trafition, with a contemporary twist. Her work centres around imperfect shapes, organic materials, and a constantly evolving aesthetic.

Her creative process is guided by spontaneity and intuition; pieces are rarely planned in advance and no two are the same. She loves the tactile and malleable nature of the clay, with its endless possibilities and elements of surprise.

Nupur is a self-trained ceramist, with a graduate degree in interior design. Raised in Calcutta and spending her adult life living across thirteen countries, her practice is informed by the cultures around the world she’s been immersed in.
